High Protein Oat Flapjacks with Collagen

This delightful snack is so delicious it feels like a bit of a cheat-day-treat, but trust us- it’s packed full with protein and collagen goodness. Plus, it couldn’t be easier to make!

Here’s how to do it…

Ingredients:

300g Oats
40g Collagen Power (get Lifeshot Collagen here)
120g Xylitol
3tbsp Agave
50g Coconut oil
125g organic grass-fed butter unsalted or salted if you like it a little saltier](OR 175g of either butter or coconut oil, you don’t have to mix them)
1tsp Allspice
1tsp Cinnamon 
½ tsp Vanilla essence
100g mixed nuts *crushed
Add some seeds if you would like to.


Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Melt together, very gently, the butter with the coconut oil and the xylitol. Keep mixing it until the xylitol has dissolved from it crystalised state. 

Add the oats, collagen powder, mixed nuts and seeds, allspice and cinnamon into a mixing ball and give it a good mix up. 

Add the liquid (oil and sugar) to the dry mix with the agave syrup and the vanilla essence and fold it in. 

Get a baking tray and line it with baking paper. Pour the mixture in and level it out. Bake for 20 minutes or slightly less for a more gooey texture. Take it out the oven, let it cool. Once it is cool enough cut it into squares and let it cool more on a wire rack.
